Our Workshop

Our 16-week social skills workshop, using the evidence-based curriculum PEERS® (Program for the Education and Enrichment of Relational Skills) is designed to help neurodiverse adults (21+) master real-world social skills and feel comfortable in a variety of social settings. Sessions focus on practical skills for friendships, dating, and everyday interactions. We take a whole-person approach—creating a safe, supportive space for growth—and involve parents/caregivers, siblings or close friends as social coaches, providing them with weekly tools, training, and guidance to help reinforce progress at home.

The Program for the Education and Enrichment of Relational Skills (PEERS®) is world-renowned for providing evidence-based social skills programs to preschoolers, adolescents, and young adults who are interested in developing and maintaining close friendships and/or romantic relationships.
First developed at UCLA by PEERS® Clinic director, Dr. Elizabeth Laugeson, the program has expanded to locations across the United States, has been translated into over a dozen languages, and is used in over 150 countries across the globe.

  • The PEERS® Young Adult Program is a 16-week, evidence-based social skills group for neurodiverse adults (21+). Participants learn practical skills for making and keeping friends, using humor, communicating effectively, and handling social conflicts. Sessions are provided virtually.

    To participate, individuals must be:

    • Highly motivated to grow socially

    • Able to follow a structured curriculum

    • Committed to all 16 sessions

    • Have access to a computer or technology

Social coaches receive parallel training to support continued growth at home and in the community.

  • Social Coaches play a key role in the PEERS® Young Adult Program. Weekly online sessions teach the same skills their young adult is learning. Social coaches are trained to support practice at home and help young adults apply skills in real-life situations. Sessions also offer space to share successes, troubleshoot, and connect with others—all from the convenience of home.

  • Each week, neurodiverse young adults (21+) join a supportive, structured group to learn and practice real-world social skills. Sessions focus on making and keeping friends, using humor appropriately, handling conflict, navigating conversations, dating, and digital communication. Through role-play, group discussion, and weekly practice, participants gain the tools and confidence to build meaningful relationships in everyday life.
